Cambridge IGCSE subjects are recognised by the Universities South Africa (USAf) Matriculation Board as Ordinary Level subjects. They form the foundation of the USAf Paragraph 15 Full Exemption pathway.
What grade counts as an "Ordinary Level subject"?
"any subject offered for and passed with a symbol of A, B or C at the Ordinary Level, the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) level or the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) level"
So a Cambridge IGCSE subject needs a minimum of grade C (or the equivalent on the 9–1 scale) to count as an Ordinary Level subject.

For a USAf matric exemption pathway, learners typically need to pass at least five different subjects across the Cambridge IGCSE / Higher / Ordinary levels with the required Group I–V coverage. What grades does Cambridge IGCSE use?
