In-Person Afrikaans Tutor Needed for AS Level Student in Kameeldrift East, Pretoria

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Afrikaans tutor to provide individualized support to an AS Level student with ADHD. The tutoring sessions will take place in-person, in Kameeldrift East, Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ADHD students and be able to adapt their teaching methods to meet the student’s unique needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert tutoring in AS Level Chemistry, Maths, and Statistics, explaining concepts in Afrikaans
• Develop and implement effective learning strategies to improve the student’s understanding and grades
• Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that fosters academic growth and confidence
• Set and achieve goals with the student, monitoring progress and adjusting the tutoring approach as needed
• Communicate regularly with the student’s parents to provide feedback and updates on progress

Requirements

• A degree in Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Experience in tutoring AS Level students, particularly those with ADHD
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the AS Level curriculum and assessment standards
• Fluent in Afrikaans, with ability to explain complex concepts in Afrikaans
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of the student
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to regular tutoring sessions
