We are seeking a qualified and experienced tutor to provide individualized support to a Grade 2 student in English and Mathematics. The tutoring sessions will take place face-to-face, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, anytime after 3:45 pm, in Mooikloof, Pretoria East.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert tutoring in Grade 2 English and Mathematics to one student
• Develop and implement effective learning strategies to improve the student’s understanding and grades
• Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that fosters academic growth and confidence
• Set and achieve goals with the student, monitoring progress and adjusting the tutoring approach as needed
• Communicate regularly with the student’s parents to provide feedback and updates on progress

Requirements

• A degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience in tutoring Grade 2 English and Mathematics
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Grade 2 curriculum and assessment standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of the student
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to regular tutoring sessions
