Grade 3 CAPS English Tutor – In-Person, Cape Town

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced tutor to provide individualized instruction to a Grade 3 CAPS student in English, focusing on writing and reading skills. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.

Location: Dunoon Public Library, Cape Town (5-minute walk from library)

Grade Level: Grade 3 CAPS

Job Type: Part-time

Subject:

• English (writing and reading)

Session Details:

• 4 sessions per month
• Tuesday
• Time: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
• Start next week

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person tutoring to a Grade 3 CAPS student in English
• Focus on developing writing and reading skills
• Create engaging and interactive lessons
• Monitor student progress and adjust tutoring approach as needed
• Communicate regularly with the student and parents to provide feedback and updates

Requirements:

• Relevant academic qualifications (degree or diploma) in early childhood education or related field
• Experience teaching or tutoring Grade 3 students in English
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual students’ needs
