Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced tutor to provide individualized instruction to a Grade 1 IEB student in English. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to individual students’ needs. The focus will be on teaching alphabets, spellings, and reading basic words.

Grade Level: Grade 1 IEB

Job Type: Part-time

Subject:

• English (alphabets, spellings, and basic reading)

Session Details:

• In-person (house calls)
• Saturday mornings
• Time: 9am – 10am

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person tutoring to a Grade 1 IEB student in English
• Develop and implement effective learning strategies to improve the student’s understanding and reading skills
• Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
• Monitor student progress and adjust tutoring approach as needed
• Communicate regularly with the student and parents to provide feedback and updates

Requirements:

• Relevant academic qualifications (degree or diploma) in English or related field
• Strong knowledge of Grade 1 IEB English curriculum and assessment standards
• Experience teaching or tutoring Grade 1 IEB students in English
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual students’ needs
