Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced tutor to provide individualized instruction to a Grade 6 IEB student in English and Mathematics. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in both subjects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to individual students’ needs.

Location: Protea South, Soweto

Grade Level: Grade 6 IEB

Subjects:

• English
• Mathematics

Session Details:

• Basic Package (2 sessions for Mathematics and 2 sessions for English)
• Wednesdays
• Time: 16:00 pm – 17:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person tutoring to a Grade 6 IEB student in English and Mathematics
• Develop and implement effective learning strategies to improve the student’s understanding and grades
• Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
• Monitor student progress and adjust tutoring approach as needed
• Communicate regularly with the student and parents to provide feedback and updates

Requirements:

• Relevant academic qualifications (degree or diploma) in English and Mathematics or related fields
• Strong knowledge of Grade 6 IEB English and Mathematics curriculum and assessment standards
• Experience teaching or tutoring Grade 6 IEB students in English and Mathematics
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual students’ needs
